There are rumours that some projects that are time sensitive such as Student residential schemes are being cacelled as the BSR are failing to respons, sometimes past 25 weeks. Is this true?

That is what I have heard and with timed intakes of students this makes sense.  I listened to a webinar today and the BSR claim the delays were causes in part by the collapse of a large AI and another AI not registering thus handing some in flight HRBs to the BSR, along with the under estimation of the number of applications for minor works and the poor standards of submissions.  A recent FIR revealed that the average is 16.5 weeks and, according to the figures it would seem the most likely outcome is rejection as only 2 new HRB projects have been approved to date.

I think the industry all missed the "end of just-quickly-build-it-and-then-justify-the-work" memo. And the new Part 2A of the Building Regulations 2010, in legal force on 1st Oct 2023.
